An Egyptian Professor of Business Studies at the University of Cairo attended a course on learning styles. She discovered that although we all live in the same world, we each understand and experience it differently.She learned that although each of us takes in information through the five senses, we all have different preferences as to how we take in information best. She found that some people take in information visually, some through hearing, others through feelings or taste. What’s more, it’s possible to tell which preference a person has from the words they choose to describe their world. As a result, although she had been speaking to people in many languages for many years, she realised that now she knew how to speak to anyone in their own language.
