STRATEGIC COACHING

A well thought through strategy, supported by a business case and implementation plan, can make the difference between achieving exceptional and ordinary results. However, getting the business strategy to work and deliver the results it promises is something that many organisations struggle with.

How does Leading Edge Change help?

Leading Edge Change can work with you on defining your overall business goals and desired outcomes, development of your strategy, building and testing your business case and business plan and implementation planning and delivery.

We also work with you to help you develop the personal resources to equip you to move forward.

We know our own business. How would outside consulting help?

Unlike some consultancies, we don’t come in and write your strategy for you. We believe that you know your business best. Instead we work with you to test your ideas, challenge you to new thinking and structure the outcomes for implementation.

Sometimes it’s difficult to see the wood from the trees when you’re on the inside. Strategic consulting and coaching can help you:

  • Explore a range of new ideas
  • Refresh a tired strategy
  • Build the business case
  • Identify planning gaps, strengths and opportunities
  • Build a realistic implementation plan
  • Keep on track through the implementation process

Who will be involved from my organisation?

We tend to work with in three ways:

  • With Boards
  • With management teams
  • Directly with the Chief Executive or Managing Director

I’m only in charge of part of the organisation, yet I need a strategy for success. Can you help?

Yes. In larger organisations strategies are often needed for subsidiaries, departments and even functions. We are able to work with you on your own particular outcomes to improve your chances of achieving or exceeding them.

What kinds of areas will be covered?

Each consultancy or coaching project is unique. However, common issues explored include:

  • Clarification of business direction and strategy
  • Clarification of key objectives and building an action plan
  • Getting and staying motivated, and motivating others
  • Dealing with obstacles and moving forwards
  • Personal strategy, delegation and results delivery
  • How to cope with organisational change, promotion and repositioning
  • Networking, relationships and conflict resolution
  • Management challenges
  • Delivering sustainable change
  • Work/life balance, stress and overload

The bird had lived in the cage for as long as he could remember.

He often looked through his bars, watching other birds flying free, and wondered enviously what it would be like to soar high with the wind in his feathers. He often thought about freedom with a mixture of longing and excitement.

One sunny day his owner carried the cage into the garden and accidentally left the door open. The caged bird noticed the open door excitedly.

Then he started to imagine the dangers outside. Who would feed him? What if he got lost or were attacked?

He considered his options. He was still considering them when the owner returned and closed the door of his cage.
